played with it a little bit, uploaded what i did.

i really can't get around how muse-y it sounds.

i think your voice is too weird to be that kind of pop singer. if the delivery isn't perfect in that kind of thing you just come off as an american idol reject. i feel like you have a tendency to try too much when you sing. like you've been told how to sing "good" and you're trying to follow that recipe and mimic that archetype of the ultimate singer you have in your head. id rather hear you have emotional meltdowns on tape. the more your entire body is resonating with what you're singing the less it matters how on key or on time you are. i feel like if im not shaking while im singing im doing something wrong.

my "natural" singing voice, which i would say is on 'bowery' annoys the fuck out of me so i'm working on finding the right voice. i have something now that i'll try on this song to give you a demo of it. also, for the middle part, the bridge, i think the drums should move back and the vocals forward. this'll sound better with new lower vocals.

alright fred, so i did some fucking around with earth. and when i say fucked around i sorta mean made into a different song completely. i tried to take it in the direction you wanted to, a la powerful ballad pop or whatever but

i couldn't muster the spirit

so i spent a couple hours today trying to make it glitchier and spacier. the middle part with surf guitars is pretty much designed for fred's voice. my edits of it are gonna be called "moon" to differentiate between your version
